Liturgies: the
Mass of the Anointing of the Sick. Held in
Msgr. O’Neill School Hall, Fr. Hickey and Fr. O’Driscoll will be
joined by three other priests as we welcome residents of Coyne
Healthcare Center, South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care
Center and Tiffany II Retirement Home as well as people of all ages
who are experiencing illness, whether it be physical, emotional,
mental or spiritual. Come and receive healing and comfort from the
Lord through the Sacrament of the Sick and the Eucharist.
24 HOUR ADORATION
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be held this Friday,
August 6th after the 9 a.m. Mass and
will continue until the 9 a.m. Mass on Saturday. Please use the
sign-up sheets located in the Upper Church foyer to ensure coverage
during this 24 hour time period. Thank you.
ADORATION
RETURNS
I have some happy news. As you know, our Lower Church is unusable,
for now. That has impeded our use of the Upper Church for adoration
on the First Friday into First Saturday. But we checked and there
are no rehearsals or any other uses for the Upper Church for July
and August First Fridays. So, we will reinstate the 24 hour
adoration on July 2nd from 9a.m. Friday
until 9 a.m. Saturday. May I strongly encourage everyone to consider
giving an hour of adoration to Our Lord Jesus? After all it was He
who said, “Could you not watch one hour with Me?” (Mark 14:37). JFH
