RENEW
RENEW began the week of Feb. 10th.
In a world of uncertainty, turmoil, wars, endless
political debates and our Church in struggle, RENEW is a
program offering the re-discovery of our Catholic faith
and what it means to belong to the People of God.
Through small faith-sharing groups offered at a variety
of times, we are provided with the opportunity to learn
more about our faith, reflect on the upcoming Sunday’s
Scripture Readings, and to share thoughts, feelings, and
insights gleaned from our prayer.
The groups are
designed to be welcoming, non-threatening, and mutually
supportive. They meet for 1˝ hours per week at a host’s
home. Experience is showing that commitment to this 7
week season, provides the time we need for our own
spiritual development and well-being.
“Sign-up Sunday” was January 27 and February 3rd.
Sister Anne: "RENEW, as you recall, is a program of prayer,
reflection, and sharing around the Sunday Scripture Readings which will
be held throughout Lent and Easter Week.
Each RENEW season is all new so everyone is invited to consider
attending one of the faith-sharing groups that meet weekly for an hour
and a half.
Here’s how it works:
1. Check the posted days/times for meetings which will be found in the
foyer. There are many options there and more will be provided if needed.
Let us know! (Call Sr. Anne at the rectory).
2. Fill out a form attached to the meeting of your choice. You will be
notified of location and further details by the Group Leader.
RENEW has brought many of us to a greater knowledge and
appreciation of God’s Word. Lent is a time when we all want to do a
little more to grow in God’s love. This is one good way of doing just
that.
