to the Nursing Homes

The Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister has a deep faith in Our Lord Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist. Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion to the Nursing Homes, serve Rockland's healthcare facilities: South Shore Rehabilitation and Webster Park Rehabilitation. This is a beautiful grace-filled ministry which requires the help of numerous Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers to visit and distribute Communion to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers serve on teams to the nursing homes. This ministry takes an hour a week. Teams serve once a month.

Requirements:
•    Is a trained Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister who is a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, who has received First Holy Communion, Confirmation and is in good moral character.
•    Attend provided training.
•    All Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound/volunteers attend one session of Virtus® Protecting God's Children, sign a Code of Conduct and complete a yearly CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) form as mandated by the Archdiocese of Boston.
